    The motor shown in the photograph appears to be an F150. Not a 150. A 150 being a two stroke. An F150 being a four stroke. Completely different motors. Title of this thread is telling folks that it is a two stroke model.

    My comments were related to removing the pump motor with the assembly being on a work bench. Some times what seems to be the long way around is the shorter path.

    Not sure about the bad design part. Don't understand what you mean. That trim and tilt assembly is used on many models. A ten millimeter socket should fit right over the head of the bolt. The same as the other bolts.

    Sounds like the float valve is not sealing. Thank the EPA for the charcoal cannister. If the cannister is full of gasoline it usually gets replaced. Normally it only sees gasoline fumes.

    Are the lower power models detuned versions or are the higher power models tuned up versions? In some Yams, the lower power models came first. Followed by the higher powered models.

    Are you speaking of only Suzuki? This is certainly not the situation with 00% of Yams. There are a number of Yams of varying power levels in which the only difference is the ECU.

    One can read almost anything at all on the innerweb. Have you checked the alarm? It is completely separate from the tachometer indication. Some motors don't even have a tachometer and the alarm works just fine. Do you not care how the system works?

    Did this just start happening to you? Have you had the motor and the tachometer for a while and did it used to be OK before? There is no reset for the over temperature icon. The wire for the over temperature icon is being grounded for some reason.
