He never said where it leaked, I was wondering that myself. Could have been a Darwin award winner!

1996 Evin 15 hp 2 cy. Bogs down "ONLY" in the forward position.

Not sure anyone can answer that question really but more knowledge of things is always good. If your using it in the ocean, stay close to land. Happy boating.

    OMC and Johnson powerhead question

Oh shoot, sorry to hear that. Life throws curve balls and when stuff like that happens it effects everyone. My advice, get another boat (without or a blown motor) put that 140 on it and whenever you go full tilt remember and salut your Dad or modify the other boat to accept the old engine. With...

    OMC and Johnson powerhead question

That was always the problem with those sea drives once you got one you were stuck with it. One question I have, why do you call a 1995 outboard a "brand new one".? I'm sure somebody here will be able to tell you if that'll cross but not me.

    1982 glastron ssv 176

Well let me day this, probably should be faster but it depends on things. GPS is speed over ground so if your heading into a tide, wind or up river than that won't tell you speed over water. When you got it on a plane did you trim the motor up to lift the bow so that you have less contact with...

Johnson 40 hp powerhead bolt oops

I believe it won't work. Broken bolts in outboards is the curse. If you have the means fill it and start again.

Evinrude Fastwin 18 No Full Tilt Lock

Even if you have a friction thing it will only work until the first bump the trailer hits. Get the thing or make the thing that Racerone recommended then again I'm not sure how many outboards I've seen that had a piece of wood wedged in there with a bungee or a tie down strap.

Evinrude Fastwin 18 No Full Tilt Lock

Not sure anyone is going to sign off on that but it seems fine if not traveling far. Here is what people are talking about, transom saver and motor extension lock I believe like racer said.

When it comes to boating sometimes getting something for free is too much!

Evinrude 35 vs new Johnson 30?

As I was told back in the day, when Yamaha entered the outboard market they started rating them at the prop. Evan rude had to switch for some reason so that they could compare the motors I guess. Pretty sure the 83 is at the crank but I'm not sure because that's right about the time that things...

Throttle Cable Adjustment 2000 Johnson 90

For one thing convenience, the other thing so that you can turn them both off, run just on one so that you always have one ready to go if something happens, and then in a worst case if you need to run two at the same time to get your engine started you're all set. This is how they're mostly...

60HP 1989 Johnson outboard low compression

Dave, I think he doesn't know what you mean because he thinks he doesn't need it. Not sure how 2 stroke oil will hold stuff together. Or maybe I'm not reading this correctly.
