1982 mercury throttle controls aren’t fully working

If you have a standard MerControl, the shift should begin as you leave neutral. Neutral is at the midnight position. The throttle should start to advance when you reach about the 10' o'clock position. Full throttle is at 8:30 or thereabouts.

    93 Johson 150hp fuel issue

Items 4 and 9 are the screws for the cover over the idle jets and needle. They do not show the cover or gasket for some reason.

    Overheating issue.

Thermostats do fail. However, if one manifold is warmer than the other, I would expect that one to be clogged. Did you ever figure out how old the manifolds and risers are? If original and used exclusively in freshwater, that can be near or at the end of their life. If saltwater, they last 8...

    Evinrude '94 150hp E150EXERV overheating

30PSI at 4000RPM is good, however, you have already fixed the other obvious parts of the cooling system. I would replace the impeller, gaskets, and housing and see if it gets better. If overheat still persists, you will need to look for other causes like clogged water passages, compression...

    93 Johson 150hp fuel issue

Yes, you would need to adjust them. However, on that motor, there should be a cover over the idle needle. You can remove the cover, clean the idle needle and passages and then install the cover, without removing the needles.

‘75 or ‘76 Mercury 650 three banger spark issue

I do not know the answer to your question. Since the coil is arcing to ground, which should be a higher resistance than thru the distributor and wires, I thought it logical to try. One side of the coil is grounded. Is that ground clean and tight? Any chance the distributor is out of time...

‘75 or ‘76 Mercury 650 three banger spark issue

Check the resistance of the spark plug wires. It should be zero. Distributor ign right? The spark plug wires should screw into the Dist. cap. Check the condition of the rotor and cap. They last a long time, but not forever. The rotor is not detachable, expensive and fragile.

    93 Johson 150hp fuel issue

Remember, the idle jets, needle and passages are in the throttle bodies. They need to be cleaned as well.

2004 Johnson 90 blowing main engine fuse

The main fuse blows when the ign power (purple) is somehow directly connected to the ground (black). You shifted the motor and then the fuse blew? Do you have the control with the ign keyswitch in it? If so, maybe a wire is rubbing inside the control. If the ign keyswitch is on the dash...

    Fuel Issue

I think you have an air leak into the fuel line. Check all joints and terminations for leaks.

Did my new coil die after one hour use.

The rotor may or may not have the chrome disc, under it. The chrome disc has "fingers" that point down, one for each cylinder. If you have the rotor with the fingers pointing down, that's the reluctor. Those swing thru a gap in the Sensor Assembly. The sensor assembly sends a signal into the...

    Timing on 1986 Mariner Outboard

What HP motor? Most Mercs of that year have a "W" shaped key that aligns the flywheel. As long as you pull the large flywheel nut and then the flywheel, and put the stator on exactly as it came off, the timing should be unaffected. of course, it would make sense for you to learn how to check...

I'm looking for a wiring diagram for 1994 Starcraft Superfisherman 191

Engine wiring can likely be had. For Boat wiring, you are on your own.

Did my new coil die after one hour use.

Does that motor have points or a reluctor? Reluctors have ign modules that provide the spark plug firing signal. It those contacts are as bad as the others you describe, the module may be bad. If point ignition, maybe condenser, points or wiring is bad.

How to tell a replacable hub prop

Gee, do a internet search on the prop brand and model you want. pick the lowest price. Do the same for the hub for that prop. A local prop shop likely charges a premium to pay for his brick and mortar store, and other skilled labor and tools. Internet sales can be much cheaper. They...

How to tell a replacable hub prop

Prop hubs are usually about $50, and you only need 2 of them. One for a spare. Now you can buy as many different pitch prop shells as you need, that fit that hub. Aluminum prop shells can be had for $75 or so. You might check some other source.

    help me please if possible

When you rebuild the carbs, it is wise to clean them and install new gaskets, inlet needle and seats and floats. Invert the carb covers and bend the carb float levers so the upper (on inverted carb cover) lever, is parallel to the carb cover. With the carb cover non-inverted, there should be...
