    Storage on land

Neither the bilge pump nor the power trim should draw any power unless they are being used !! I have seperate switches for everything like SS radio, sterio, fish finder etc so all are dead until needed.

    Considering a new Porta-bote 8 or 10 foot

Only used one once, friend had one and invited me to go along for a test run. Way to complicated, unstable feeling, give me a small tinnie anyday...just my two cents !!

    yamaha outboard out of oxygen

I would think a powered exhaust would be better than a blower. Anyway to make a 3-4" dia exhaust outlet then use a bilge blower to suck out the smoke ? By sucking out the exhaust, you will be drawing in fresh air to the surrounding areas. Just a thought......

    Nasty Lube

By all means flush it out, then fill and run for a short period of time...if you can use muffs then water wont get in the gear case. Drain once again and keep filling and draining until lube is not changing color!! If you cant replace the seals, then drain and flush after every outing.

Repairing a crack in aTaylormade Fender Cushion

Clean the area very well, even scuff it up with something abrasive. Mabet even put a little taper on the edges to give the goop a surface to bite on. Repaired a set of waders about 5-6 years back with goop, still no leaks!! I use that stuff alot, never failed me yet !!

    Fish Finders

Basically they will tell you the depth and most tell you surface temp on the water. Some will tell you the volts on your battery. I use the depth feature all the time to stay out of shallows. Many of the cheaper units dont do well on locating fish. I have always had cheaper units and have...

    Leak, can't find

Yes...I have had better sucess with using my hands to move the soap around, rather than using a brush.

    What do I do??

Those were popular motors, should be able to find everything you need...never heard of a " universal" tiller and controls, pretty sure you will need factory stuff.

    Leak, can't find

Add more liquid soap into the water to get it thicker, most folks use to little soap and don't see the bubbles. With enough soap, a tiny hole will make really big bubbles!! You will need to overinflate it to make bubbles!
