    come to think of it don't worry about long wires to a front mounted kill switch.... that is how front mounted ignition switches work anyway. they short the 2 M posts :-)

    try to peek inside with a strong light to line things up or try a 4 inch nail to center parts before trying to scrw the blot back in .

    AMazon also sells nice compact wireless switches that you could use to kill the engine remotely....or you can bring the switch up near the steering but.... those wires carry strong coil kickbacks voltages when the points open up.... best to keep the wires short with some 12v DC you...

    happy ending... GREAT :) thanks for your feedback.. BTW the lamp trick was extensively used in the Telco industry central offices..to prevent needless blow fuses when certain loads were exceeded ! old phones used 130 v 20 cycle power to ring the phonebells.....anytime a 20 cycle supply...

    if you hook in extra wires on the points where the condensers are connected and install a NORMALLY OPEN switch pushing the switch will kill the ignition. very simple hook up...

    large wires are not fused so I do not expect them to be the reason the fuse blows. one of the loads distributed by the switch ON position is drawing to many amps which kills the fuse. the light bulb will help you work on the circuitry save you some fuses :) ohms law..... V= RxI...

    the basic wiring shows the fuse feeding the front key switch which returns momentary voltages to T&T relays , the starter selenoid etc... the T&T motor itself is transferred full B+ power unfused so it is not the likely source of the problem . Neither should it be the selenoid...

    holes are for balancing carb internal air volumes... do all carbs leak ??? could be a simple float/inlet needle issue on 1 carb but 4 ???? IF so fuel pressure may be exceeding the float capacity to block fuel ingress. Think of them as small toilet bowls. simple designs & auto cut-off...

    may as well drop the GC oil to check for water to if OP does not have pressure testing tools if oil goes out water usually gets in.
