    HarborMasterCover

Typically you need the original packaging and send it all back. When I buy at discount places like WalleyWorld, I figure the purchase is disposible, no warranty unless it is within 90 days. Once beyond that it is yours!!

    1997 mercury 115hp oil injection

In all my years of boating, I have used " Pennzoil" 2 cycle oil with great sucess. Never had a engine issue or plug fouling issue. In my younger days I worked part time for a local marine mechanic and he swore by Pennzoil and I guess it just stuck with me. I did see that the TCW3 is for premix...

    Emergency (backup) trolling motor...

To get a motor and batteries big enough to do what you want, your looking at well over a grand, for that money you could buy a small gas motor and stow it in the corner out of the way until needed...the gas will give far better performance when needed and takes very little maintenence.

3.0L I/O issue after new shifter was installed

Mabey but not likely, would definetly return it to the dealer that took your money. As mentioned the cable needs adjusted, they always work better on a hose out of the water, but actually need to be in the water to adjust them correctly. The back pressure from being in the water makes a big...

    Cleaning aluminum gas tank

Being aluminum there should not be any rust, so just a quick scrub and flush is all that should be needed. If badly corroded then reconsider using the tank!
