    no water at motor

    no you will not as Bondo said, the muffs have to fit well to allow the water pump to prime...when you do a Cobra impeller there are a couple of little things to keep in mind: that hose hooked up to the nipple on the housing and its fitting on the housing have to be open, it lets air out and...

    shifting issue...

    Neither it is the mounting surface with the tapped holes you can see there. not the best pic but best I could do... also make sure the water tube grommets are in good shape and the water tube itself is not corroded. If the boat was ever overheated the grommets can be scorched.

    Spark plugs saturated with gas

    If its flooding then you need to most likely do a complete carb cleaning and rebuild. The 2bbl is pretty simple (Rochester 2GV) but the 4bbl (Rochester 4MV) a bit more complex....your problem sounds like a bad needle valve, grit in the needle valve holding it open, mis adjusted float, or float...

    Looking for bare engine block with pistons

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNrck2VLai4 for a treat, fast forward to 1:14, turn the volume all the way UP! On a cold December day in 1977 I was picking my younger brother up at SUNY Stony Brook for winter recess. Not far from Grumman's Calverton facility. We heard an F-14 flying up in the...

    Looking for bare engine block with pistons

    Looking great. I love your shop. I do everything on my back in the driveway. My garage is tiny, 1940s era house, about the size of a Model A Ford lol. Only car I ever put in there was my '89 Toyota Corolla GTS. After doing this for oh 45+ years its getting old! When I did the top end overhaul I...

    New boater. New to loading boat

    With rollers it is a process of trying different depths till you find the one that works best for retrieving, if you are too shallow it may roll back, if you are too deep you will not hit the rear rollers and the stern of the boat may float sideways if there is any current or wind. When I was...

    Looking for bare engine block with pistons

    NY is very bad, it spread like wild fire through our excellent mass transit system in NYC and then out to Long Island (where I am) and Westchester County (where I used live long time ago). The suburbs are now really starting to feel it. Here you can still shop for food and other essentials. Not...

    Volvo Penta 5.7 GSI TBI year 2000

    You could have a corroded trim relay that is causing it to operate without pushing the trim button on the control or even the trim switch on the control could stick. Either way that will pull a ton of amps out of the battery and finding a dead battery is not surprising, then. The stock wiring on...

    Nola Mike's 3.7/470 --> 4.3L swap thread

    Here are the pix, of a pre-vortec to vortec conversion...done by Michigan Motors....notice the old PS pump and alt were used with the old pulleys...I'm not sure if they had to do something special to make this work or what, but it LOOKS like it can be done!
