    Somebody found a horn that was annoying.----Then cut the wire to silence the warning horn.----Best to do a compression test and post your numbers.

    At one time there were about 6 different impellers.------Today there must be 15- different one.----I would find the best match and make it work.

    Mix at 50:1 and I like 5500 as maximum RPM.-----A 45 year old motor requires a complete evaluation before spending any beer tokens on it.----Post compression values here.----Test the hot horn.----Install a new impeller before launching the boat.

    Open the low speed mixture screw 1/4 turn and test run.

    What brand of 2 stroke oil do you use for your Johnson Evinrude 2 stroke

    Yes the 2+2 has oil injection.-----The oil is mixed with the gasoline on those.-----On an E-TEC the oil is NOT mixed with the gasoline.-----An E-TEC operates like a 4 stroke during the compression / ignition part of the cycle !

    There are watches to tell time at $1,000,000 each.-----So for some folks $6,000 for a prop is not a problem.------Same goes for high end " super cars "-----Many items are not in my snack bracket.

    The fat 50 was assembled with the same pistons as the 35 HP of the day.-----And the gears and bearings in that gearcase are capable of surviving a small atomic bomb.-----The gears bearings on a modern 50 HP are flimsy in comparison..
