    What fuel pump ?-----The VRO pump has wires going to it but that is only for an alarm .----Alarms for no oil flow.-----The VRO pump if it is still in service runs with PRESSURE pulses from the crankcase.----Are you pushing the key in while cranking it over for a cold start ??

    Move boat back 2 feet .-----Drop trailer tongue. with tongue jack.-----Block up rear of the boat.-------Raise tongue.-----Use a 5 ton jack on the keel near front of boat and raise boat off the bunks.----Add extra blocking for safety.-----Mark / measure position of bunks.-----Remove bunks.

    If you just need to lift a few inches to remove the bunks then no need to move the trailer away.
