    When I worked at a Johnson dealer in the late 1960's it was not uncommon for a stuck motor to come in.----I used to ask the folks what happened.-----Often a wrench on the flywheel nut would loosed them up.-----They ran fine.------There were no 50 year old motors that came in for repair in 1968...

    Sorry----Turning the key does nothing on this particular choke set-up.----Simply not how it was designed !------Time to read up on the carburetor and choke on this motor.----I am done and stepping aside on this one.

    Chrysler fuel pump

    Some will argue.-----I would simply take the pump apart.------About the only thing that can go wrong is the diaphragm.-----Available for about $10 I think.

    The high speed jet is in the very bottom of the float bowl.----It is about 5/8" long with 1/4-20NC thread.-----In the very bottom of the float bowl !!----And I am quite familiar with these carburetors.----Likely have a dozen or more laying around !

    The item is 328544 in the bottom of the bowl.----That adjustment is for the low speed mixture only.

    In the very bottom of the float bowl you will find the high speed jet.----All the fuel used by the engine goes through it.----Step #1 is to make sure that item is clean.

    If water was INSIDE on the roller bearings then there might be damage.----Pitting of crankshaft and connecting rods may have occurred.------Motor will run but for how long ?-----Removing bypass covers ( 4 screws each ) allows for a look inside the crankcase, may help you decide.
