    ????-----Any other pictures of this boat.----Was somebody sipping / smoking something when they painted / worked on the bottom ?----I am not sure I would take this on.----And I am sure most shops would see a liability issue touching this " boat "---Only my opinion.

    You could raise it 1/4" at a time and test run.----Some will argue , but that would be my approach.

    Just use ---google or you tube to see issues with LED traffic lights in areas where there is snow.-----Winsor ( near Detroit ) has had issues.----Known to have issues with LED traffic lights !!

    I understand in some areas there are folks ready to respond to clear traffic light issues..-----You know the ones in tubes.-----They tend to fill up with snow.

    You would wonder how they build modern aircraft using carbon / epoxy composites.-----I will stick with epoxy as there is virtually no smell and worth the extra coins just for that benefit.

    Led lights.-----Just another modern folly for some applications.-----Picture traffic lights in a remote and northern locations.-----Regular light bulbs produce heat and keeps them clear of snow and ice.-----Same goes for tail lights on trucks and vehicles.----There will be collisions.

    ???-----Not so fast on your thinking.------If motor starts and idles fine there is nothing wrong with piston rings I would say.

    Why ??------Find ---bay manufacturing -----for a 5" extension kit.-----Or find a donor motor with the parts.-----Or make a custom bracket.-----Have you heard this motor running ?----How did this motor run for you last season ?

    Call factory ??------Some Javelin boats ( 1997 and newer ) may have composite transoms.----I would drill some 1/4 holes ( from inside ) and see if there is wood in transom.-----If drill pukes out black stuff it could be rotten plywood.

    Well----I have worked on many motors.----But not your particular motor.--- If it worked fine for you before the work it should be easy to inspect / re-assemble.----I can not see , hear or feel your motor.---Nissan / Tohatsu may well be the same motor as the Mercury you have.------Sorry.
