First post a model #----Is it a 1986 2 cylinder , 1988 3 cylinder, a 1995 model ??---All different motors.----Post compression test actual values too.----Check flywheel key.-----How did it run for you last season ?
What ?????----You are talking about a plastic tank and a primer bulb.-----Then we are talking like you still have a steel tank and the pressure system without a fuel pump.----Pictures needed as I know these motors very well ( have one myself ) but I am confused by your set-up !-----You can not...
Sounds like someone converted from a pressure tank ( double line hose ) to a single hose with a fuel pump.-----So without pictures or hands on I can't tell.----Not everyone does this swap correctly.
I do not believe there are any " vacuum " hoses on this motor.-----Hoses for oil recirculation and electric primer valve hoses.----t is the design of the top piston ring that is at fault here.-----I can't believe they stuck with that design for 20 years after first issues showed up.---Install 4...
The 3 cylinder was marketed for a few years as a 50 / 60 / 70 HP model.-----The service bulletin to relocate the tell tale came out in 1994 for the 56 cube models.----I think all factory 3 cylinder production after 1994 had the tell tale hose coming off the top of the block.
On a salt water motor it could be a challenge.-----May have to change out the entire swivel bracket to put the 1980 T&T on a 1975 model.-----Look this over / measure carefully.
Those magnets only break if it is dropped on the floor or hit with a hammer.----Do an ohm check on your armature.----If good there , must be a local shop with good magnets in your area.
The 2 cylinder 50 HP was first marketed in 1971.----They made a lot of them since then.-----If you are looking at a used one then condition is everything !
Do an ohm check on armature.-----Should read infinity from commutator to shaft.----Looks like it was git with a hammer because it did not work.----Used starters are plentiful in my area.
