    Agreed----But some boats are easier to repair than others if you have time , tools and " how to " skill..----I regularly visit a shop that has a yard full of boats like this.-----Engines are removed and the rest crushed and scrapped.----No shop can do an economical fix !

    A prop shop can determine pitch of your prop.-----Then you need to confirm condition of the 140 HP on a dynamometer.-----Then you need to weigh the boat to make sure it is in good condition.----The foam could hold 600 lbs of water !!

    Stop guessing.----Run with a timing light hooked up.----One cylinder at a time.----Observe the flashing light as you speed up the boat.
