    prepping boat, pulled ps dipstick, its dry in there. i havent run the motor in 6 months, so im sure its all settled to the lowest point. do you think if i run it the level will come back up? should i top it off first? manual says fill to cold level, there must be a leak, but i cant find one..

    do i have to pull tstat?

    can i fill the engine with antifreeze by the seawater inlet on the tstat housing? suppose i drain at the ramp when hot, then later pull the hose off the t stat housing and fill thru there, will a closed tstat impair antifreeze from reaching some part of the motor? 5.o 220 hp mercrusier 2bbl 2006

    wax on....

    can it do any harm to my gelcoat to leave wax on it for a few days before buffing it off? just carnuba, nothing fancy. got the boat all waxed up then it started to rain. got it inside but had to get to other things. im hoping to get back to it in a couple days.

    i put this motor on my sisters boat a few days ago, we put in 85-90w lube, should i flush it out with somthing else? what is the proper lube for an old push button shift evenrude? did i screw somthing up by putting the wrong stuff in? thanks all.

    will a few tire tubes float 1/2 a toon?

    would a few truvk tire tubes float 1 side of a 20' pontoon boat out of the water? enough to get it on some supports or close? or would it work out that i would need 17 or 20 of them? i was hoping that 2 0r 3 might do it.
