    Slightly less than 60 on most cylinders. One was 30, the other almost 90.

    It may be a fuel cooler, but it has a side hustle as being a float bowl! Fuel was purchased "recently". A few months ago by now. Haven't hooked up the tank since the rebuild. Coming straight from the can.

    Yeah, it's running pretty fast under those two conditions, shut it off after a few seconds. Oh, I was thinking compression was ok. Engine ran great before I started this project. I'll look into that.

    The Volvo system does? Unspent fuel does not return to the tank. It is sent to the float bowl then pumped back into the rail by the high pressure pump.

    I am all for making a bracket. What is considered the "Volvo standard elbow"? This is the best I can do on short notice, the riser goes into a 90 deg elbow to the exhaust tube.

    Yes. It would run for a few secs on water, then stall. The mating surfaces between riser and manifold were rusty. I filed them down and got new gaskets. Ran the engine for 20 mins to get it up to temp, ran fine.

    Well, ya just had to go and ask that question. :) I took the rubber boots off, and some rusted pieces fell off, but not too bad.
