    What are the thoughts of leaving the batteries in the boat for the winter? I live in NC so the boat will be laid up for about 4 months. If I leave them fully charged and disconnect the ground will they be OK?

    Transducer on balsa core hull.

    I installed my transducer earlier this year on my boat. I drilled holes for the screws, filled the holes with 5200 then installed the bracket with screws. After that I made sure there was a fair amount of 5200 around the screws. What are the chances it will leak and damage the transom?

    Water in bilge.

    I know a photo would help with this one but here it goes. I have two stringers on both side of the block. If water gets on the outside of the stringer there is no way to drain it. I guess I just have to go in to the engine compartment and soak it up with paper towels?

    Storing boat without cover.

    We are getting close to buying a new house that has a double car port. I hate taking the cover off and putting it back on, not to mention the mold that the cover can cause if water is in the cockpit. Anyone store their boat under a carport without a cover on the boat? Any advice, Good bad ugly?
