    2007 Gxi-G 5.0 Rough Idle Issue

My point is that it doesn't matter if its TBI or MPI. Doesn't matter WHERE the injectors are. That fact doesn't matter. If you can't see that, I can't help you.

    2007 Gxi-G 5.0 Rough Idle Issue

The same way it would on a TBI! No difference at all. Both would have fuel dumping into the intake sytem bypassing any injectors!!! A TBI system still uses injectors just like an MPI...they are just located in the TB itself. Dumping fuel into the TB just gets burnt up by the engine. Same thing...

1990 marine 4.3 CAM AND LIFTERS

Out of curiosity, how did that drive shift out of gear with that auto distributor on there?

    Vortec or not?

GM started to put Vortec on their engines in 96. Probably didn't hit marine until 97.

New bearings: too much movement on spindle

I looked back at your previous post. Did you end up replacing the spindle for this one that you are having problems with?

New bearings: too much movement on spindle

My suggestion....post pictures of everything. Include showing what the inner bearing looks like sitting in the cup(race).

New bearings: too much movement on spindle

If you didn't get the race pushed all the way in, you would have the opposite problem.

    270 leg water pickup

Find a tapered rubber plug and plug that hole the next time you run on muffs

    270 leg water pickup

Those drives have a hole near the bottom front of the drive that you need to plug before running on muffs. You likely had water coming out of it when you turned on the water. Be prepared to replace your water pump impeller now.

Adding dash voltage gauge for trolling motor batteries.

There is no current flowing in the circuit. You will not have any voltage drops from resistance. You can have tons of resistance and it won't matter. We would often have voltage monitoring ports on circuits through 10K resistors!!

    Oil change could be easier...

Just but a short piece of hose that has a female and male ends on it and then attach that to your pump. Or just make a piece of hose and put your own ends on it. I use this style. It has a short piece of garden type hose that I can screw onto the dipstick...

    Mercruiser 6.2L MPI overheating

Because then the speed of the boat forces the water up the inlet hose. Not even an issue once the boat is on plane. I have two friends that had Cobra leaks at the shaft that drives the water pump impeller. It happens. Volvo decided to abandon that idea for a reason. There were people on here...

    Mercruiser 6.2L MPI overheating

The water pump in both the Mercruiser Bravo Drive and the Volvo drives are below the water line. There is NO pumping UP to either of the input of those pumps. There is a reason Volvo eliminated the impeller on the drive like the Cobra had when Volvo did the joint venture. It's a poor design...

How too test if PU coil is weak ?

First off...since when does a 4.3l have coil packs? You mean the coil itself? Replace the distributor cap and rotor. Do not try to clean. What do the plugs look like? A coil can get damaged when the spark has no where to go. That means distributor, rotor, wires and plugs can cause a coil to be...
