    Engine won’t turn over

And...you don't need to pull the whole drive...just the upper drive housing.

No gasket sealer needed. Torque per the spec in the manual.

    Oil change could be easier...

Agree...why would anyone put a smaller diameter hose down the tube when it has the garden hose fitting and a larger diameter tube? I can dump the 8 qts from the pan in my 7.4l in hardly any time at all with the garden hose adapter and my power pump.

    2020 NFL/NCAAF News and Nonsense

They gave the game away going for 4th down 3 times when they should have punted. Chip Kelly play calls always kill them

    Rocker Switch Panel

The switches all get a ground to allow the switch to light. The output of the switch is what goes to the positive side of the light. If the rocker switches that are turned off, have their indicator lights turn on, that's a sneak path to ground through the light.

    Rocker Switch Panel

My bet is you have one or more bad grounds and you are picking up a sneak path ground through some of the indicator lights.

Rebuilding or replacing Mercruiser 4.3 in 1996 caravelle 1950SE

No idea about the exhaust manifolds. Vortec engines in GM vehicles came out in 96 but the marine industry didn't get them until the following year.

Rebuilding or replacing Mercruiser 4.3 in 1996 caravelle 1950SE

A 96 boat likely doesn't have a Vortec Head and associated intake manifold. At least on Volvo, they didn't have Vortec until the LK model which was 97. Even then, an LK model may even be in a 98 boat. Mine is a perfect example of that.

    Oil change could be easier...

It's too allow you to drain the system by just attaching a bicycle pump. I know because I just bought a 2017 Mercruiser powered boat and was perusing the service manual for it last night. Mine is raw water cooled. Not a big deal to me. Volvo has an almost identical type setup although their's...

    Oil change could be easier...

My current Volvo has the oil filter mounted upright so there is little oil leakage. However I just bought a 2017 6.2L 350HP Mercruiser and will be doing an oil change on it soon. I like the idea of punching the hole. Makes perfect sense as long as there is no anti drainback valve that prevents...

    SeaDek

My new to me Cobalt I am buying has it. If it don't come with it I was planning on putting it in. Right now, its just on the swim step but may have it go all the way to the bow eventually.

    Clip for wiring harness

I use that same thing. Every one of my trailers gets converted to a 7 pin connector. The 4 pin connectors suck.

    Engine oil pan leak

On a 280, you don't have to remove the whole drive, just the upper drive housing. If the boat is a saltwater boat, removing the engine from the flywheel housing may be the best option.

1996 Volvo Penta 7.4 will not stay running

Why would you do that when you can just put in a Delco Voyager?

    Tankless Hot Water Heater Recommendation

Even with that, you can only run 2 fixtures at the same time in Southern California where the cold water temp starts out higher than most places. Up in Wisconsin where Musky is, likely only 1. The BTU requirement goes up the colder your initial water temp is. There is a chart that shows desired...

    Tankless Hot Water Heater Recommendation

I looked up The Rinnai chart for pipe size. You should probably be ok. I remember it being way more conservative. Go down to the propane table: https://www.rinnai.us/faq/tankless-water-heater/gas-line-sizing-table Every elbow reduces the equivalent length so you would need a table for that too.

    Tankless Hot Water Heater Recommendation

35K may be common for a tank water heater. It is not sufficient for a tankless especially if the water starts out cold.

    Tankless Hot Water Heater Recommendation

I am not saying you need 1 1/2". You may need greater than what you have depending on the distance of your existing lines. My tankless was 180K BTU.
