    Using muffs wont test the water pump, as pressure from the hose is forcing water thru the system. Only way to really test your repair is in the water or test tank !!

    Perhaps time for a new, newer boat ?? A complete restoration is not gonna be cheap and an awfull lot of work if you do it yourself. Sorry for your loss.

    Balancing the trailer tires are easy, most any tire shop will do it. If they were that bad, I would think you would feel it going down the road.

    Metal/ plastic ?? Have saw fenders that are not well attached and will vibrate rapidly going down the road, that rapid vibration can cause material fatigue and cracking. Just a thought.....

    I only have lighter weight aluminum hulls so I have had many trailers with frames stopping well in front of the transom. Many of my trailers have/ had rollers and bunks that tilt to handle loading, the center of the tilt mechanism is at the back of the trailer frame. Never had an issue...

    Depends on the jon boat, some are wider and deeoer than others, some have higher/ lower HP ratings as well as load ratings, so it all depends !!

    If you have seam leaks then a good thorough cleaning of the interior then paint on a sealer such as gluvit and or other sealing coatings.     Get a portable tachometer and see if your 25 is operating at its peak rpm, otherwise we are all guessing! A tach will tell the story for sure...
