    Makes sense...stand on the transom straddling your current motor and see how the extra weight lowers the transom, that will show if the weight would be an issue ! 90" beam is a much bigger beam than mine !!

    How big are your 3 people and what else are you carrying onboard ?? My neighbor weighs 375 lbs so three of him would be a bunch of weight !!

    I have a 16' Sylvan side console that is rated for 80 hp...I have a 40 hp 2 stroke on it, 195 lbs....could not imagine a 330 lb motor on the back....when I stand back on the transom (165 lbs) I don't have much freeboard at the transom!!     Even moving weight around wont make it plane out with the 25 ??? Hard to believe !! Unless your 6 is one heavy motor !!

    If your gonna trailer it, then custom covers are the only ones that last. Just to keep the dust off when stored then aftermarket/ over the counter will work

    Kicker motor tilted up when running the boat...that 25 hp should plane with no issues. Move the weight around until the right balance is found. Not only finding the right prop, but also the right trim ....You can start by putting a straight edge along the boat bottom sticking out to the motor...

    I take the old bearings and go to J&G bearings in Toledo and replace them with quality Timken and other brand name bearings...

    Boat Cover

    Find a cover/ tarp maker but gonna be expensive !! Also check for old car collectors/ restorers as the folks that redo the interiors also make boat covers as a side line, for normally less money.

    The seals usually fail from the back side, just look back there for signs of grease comming out. Most seals fail from over filling, most greasable hubs have some type of way to tell when they are filled.

    How do you know the prop is not slipping....cant test it by hand...is the prop venting ?? Try adjusting the trim ??

    All work well if used properly... Bearings still need serviced at least every other year even with any type of bearing buddy system. To many install them then forget about them until something bad happens. Or they overfill and blow out the seals. I have used a few different brands and models...

    He said he took them out without noting their position and doesn't know where each one went. Knowing what size wont do any good unless he knows where it went..

    Have the starter tested or your just guessing. Also have your battery load tested, just because it checks 12.8 resting, it may have an internal short that can drop that voltage below minimum voltage when a load is added on...

    Embarrassing question

    You should add 2.5 oz of TCW3 oil for each gallon of gas !! Add oil first, then add fuel to be sure it is mixed properly.

    Now you need ro backtrack each wire as to where it goes....depending on what it powers will determine what size fuse you will need !! No easy way to sort it out....When I take things apart, I have a marker and tape handy to everything gets labeled, I have learned that the hard way....many times...
