Replaced mine for first time when it was about 20 years old. Still didn't need replacing, no cracks. The thing is I'm in fresh water and the big thing is after parking boat in garage I lowered the drive full down. Don't leave it up

    Wellcraft 26/2670/2600 Excel/Martinique Construction

IMO no, but they will last if taken care of. I had a 1995 Rinker that was 27 years old when sold and it was still in good shape so far as the hull. It also spent its life on a trailer and covered. They cost less because it didn't cost as much to build

    mercruiser 4.3 thermostat housing

Search "custom spark plug wire kit" then you can cut them to length. Can even get a V8 set for extra in most cases for same cost Could also look for 350 marine set if the V6 is to high, a 454 set would work also but wires will be to long

Is my gimbal bearing sealed or greaseable

Find out if it is aligned Pump grease until you see it. If you pump and it gets real hard and don't see it, then the hole or the spacer is not in alignment

Mercury Sterndrive Trim Relay Fault Code

Welcome Assuming this is Axius and most likely the voltage low fault is what's causing the issue(s). Disconnect the trim sensor to see if the low voltage fault clears. There will be other faults doing this but should clear when reconnected You and the Tech need the diagnostics manuals to...

2002 5,7 Mercruiser exhaust manifold keeps cracking - 5 times this summer

Reversion is caused by to much valve overlap or the height of the exhaust is not high enough to keep water from going back up the exhaust into the motor. This is not your issue because there is no issue with your other motor

    mercruiser 4.3 thermostat housing

Regular head bolts will stretch under torque and this is why there are different torque requirements for different lengths of bolts. ARP are much harder and for the most part will not stretch under load. Just using numbers off top of my head Merc says torque in 3 steps to 125 Ft Lb ARP says...
