    If your new bearing is the new style which is sealed, not greasable. Then don't really need the inner seal. It's there to try to keep the grease out of the bilge

    With shoe straight forward the prop should lock CCW not CW looking at the prop. Need to split the drive enough to reset the shoe

    Check/feel under the raw water hose connection at transom plate, see if it's wet

    Welcome It could be the Y pipe but seeing it's on top of it I would lean more to the drive shaft boot. When was last time the boots were inspected/changed?
