    2009 4.3 gxi-j cant get it over 3k rpms

The flat style distributor cap can and does cause issues. The motors timing is controlled by ECM, and the ECM assumes the dizzy is exactly where it should be. There is a service bulletin indicating for low on power that the dizzy should be marked, then moved 1* in each direction to see if power...

    Mercury 2019 - 20HP EFI - Manual start

I would first disconnect line going into VST and see if you can get any fuel to come out. If fuel comes out then go into the VST, could be the needle is stuck or it may be clogged.

    2009 4.3 gxi-j cant get it over 3k rpms

If gauge is accurate then there is no issue with pressure Porpoising is caused by to much trim out, or to much lift. If you trim it full in against the transom and it's still porpoising, then look at load placement and just what prop is on the boat? Next check your timing if you have the flat...

    High RPM’s

^^^Agree, coupler or prop hub Does the boat actually move forward when shifted in forward? Read your other thread, (sorry didn't notice it sooner) and when the motor was replaced the shop should have checked and adjusted alignment. If they didn't then this may have caused the coupler failure...

Will this tube "blow" my engine

The tube will not blow your motor. Same as having to much weight in the boat, it's just harder to get on plane. If your going to pull it most the time, then suggest changing prop to a lower pitch, this will bring the rpm up and make it easier on the motor. When not puling tube you can over rev
