    Would do same with alarm going off Need to find out what actually happened. Start back up and oil press is good so that's not the issue. If you have an alpha drive, motor won't go above 2500 and could be coupler gave up, and you started overheating

    The thingy is a check ball and is used to restrict water from coming in past it when running. It allows water to pass in other direction during winterization

    Got the boat back a few days ago, most all is good. New complete trim pump unit. Only issue is trim gauge needs to be adjusted. Will call dealer tomorrow to get some pointers, but most likely I'll just do it my self then hauling it back

    Your correct, restrictor goes next to manifold I'm looking at the manual prior to posting link and looked like PPT posted it correctly, so I linked it for visual. Comparing PPT to manual I see PPT is showing how to place gasket with a closed cooling, BUT they should be showing a block off gasket

    ok, that is a compression fitting, so the rubber when compressed will hold the plastic pipe The drive has water pressure against it but not that high. So long as the pipe is inside the fitting, and the rubber disc is compressed as listed in documentation, it will hold

    It's not vapor lock Might be you bought a low pressure pump instead of high pressure. What part number did you get?

    Using SN 0m312634 You can have up to 2 pumps The reason I say up to 2 pumps is because this was the change over period. If you do not have a pump Boost the fuel filter, you only have one pump which is below the port side under the motor mount. Get a gas can, small or large doesn't matter...

    Don't know for sure but most Trans are set up to only vent out if pressure gets to great
