2000 Johnson 15hp wont pump water

Tell tail should flow even if the t stat is closed. I know it’s a separate passage but I honestly could tell you exactly where that passage is. Have you tried the mono line or weed wacker line thru the tell tale trick yet? I can’t remember if you said yes or not.

Another day another motor, another problem. Help, please

Did you use the new needle in the old seat? If so that’s where I would guess the problem is.

Why is the choke won’t stay out, it feels a lot of pressure when I pull it out

Yes like you have noticed you pull it out and it springs back in. Every time you pull it it squirts a bit if fuel. I pull mine twice and its enough. If it’s cold out I’ll go for 3 pulls.

2007 Evinrude 115 Hp etec 2 stroke won’t turn over on cold starts

I had a problem similar to this once. It turned out to be a cracked magnet in the started.

60HP 1989 Johnson outboard low compression

I know it’s sounds crazy but use the hand impact to tighten just a hair to try and break the grip. Like try to tap and twist forward and backwards.

1985 evinrude 30 hp prop power issue

If I’m not mistaken there is a detent on the primer valve and having the primer valve pulled out just a bit would let a bit of extra fuel in. Kinda of like having a choke plate partially closed on a very cold start sorta of day. If the extra fuel helps I would still be looking for blockage...

    Water Pump

If your going to run in a barrel the water needs to be at least 6” above the pump. The pumps are not self priming.

    Hard starting

Sorry but I have to ask. Are you squeezing the ball to prime the fuel line and does it go hard? If so I would be looking at the primer itself to verify it’s working.

Can you explain your starting procedure in the order you do it.

84 Evinrude bogging full throttle surge

Yea sorry about that. It was meant to say timing light. You did the right thing. When you asked about the running light I was so confused then realized I was the one that cause the confusion.

1958 Evinrude 18hp piston part number cross reference

Racerone’s advice is worth’s its weight in gold. I to have heard that Wisconsin is a great place for good used outboard parts and that they plentiful.

johnson 70hp 2 stroke 1995 shut down when warm

Post #47 is where your at now. I would say before you go any further try and find a machine shop that is willing to do this work for you. It’s getting harder and harder to find anyone interested anymore. Best

johnson 70hp 2 stroke 1995 shut down when warm

Yes you will need to completely remove the power head. It can be done by hand if your young and strong. If you have a tree close by you could use a come along or block and Tackel. There are many ways to do this. Your question about removing just the cylinder is a bit concerning. I feel like you...

johnson 70hp 2 stroke 1995 shut down when warm

Crank down on that puller bolt and give it good hard/sharp wack with a heavy hammer.

1974 Johnson seahorse 4hp weedless running strong, then randomly dies out and takes a lot to start.

If tank doesn’t vent it will not provide fuel. It will become vacuum locked. If you cant get the vent open then open the cap a bit and see what happens.

84 Evinrude bogging full throttle surge

I can’t remember if it was mentioned but have you tried running with a running light hooked up to see if your dropping a cylinder from time to time?

84 Evinrude bogging full throttle surge

Yea if bogging is more a problem than the surging then it may not be the hub. But it’s a free test and you can check it off your trouble shooting list when your done. Best of luck

Just for kicks mark your prop and hub take her for run and see if the marks are still aligned. You may have a spun hub that is slipping.
