    Normally they last longer then that, unless something like a plastic bag gets caught on drive, sucked up some sand, to many rpms when run on a hose

    Right now without more research, probably part of the connector If it was mine, I would take apart the connector and find o ring. Then find the 20 cent o ring and replace it

    It happens, but Item 7 uses item 8 o ring but that is not the o ring I was talking about. Being there was a leak and you not mentioning where the leak was, I assumed it was between item 7 and the quick connector. The quick connect also has a o ring inside that seals the 2 pieces.

    No not that one, it's a O ring that is part of the quick connector the clicks on to that fitting Merc made this so it's easier to dealers to install the unit and get it out the door. They did not do it for a better connection. You could remove all quick connects and reconnect with hard fittings...

    No, in order to find out what the beep... beep is need to connect a scanner to the motor. RINDA Not knowing what your serial number is I'm guessing as to what ECM you have. Is it several beeps, constant one beeeep, some many beeps it stops then starts again or other?

    It appears to be something below the manifold air temp sensor. Saying it has 3 small screws means it's not the fuel rail damper. Have a pic just a tad bit further away to get an idea what is connected to it?
