    Merc and VP offered alarms mounted on the motor and under the helm. The problem comes in from VP going their own direction and would not always put alarm on the motor.     I would do what Formula did on my boat. Remove block drain plug from which ever side is closest to where you want to run the line. Connect fittings (barbed) so it will connect to hose feeding your heater. That is the supply line

    My guess is the Bat's used to power tabs are not the Bats that would be used for trolling. Need a voltmeter and trace the connections

    The Alpha drive uses a shift interrupter on the shift plate to unload the clutch to be able to shift out of gear and into neutral. You need to check the connections and then if needed adjust the interrupter Need your serial number or at least what year?
