MerCruiser v8 350 installed, exhaust note options

Most exhaust systems require the motor out to install. Switching from the exhaust bellows to the exhaust tube will give you most of the sound for about $100 and can be done with the drive installed A good captains call system will run you about $1700 not including any incidentals required...

Best way to gain a little speed with 40hp engine

All marine tachs come in is 4000rpm for diesels, 5000rpm for some large motors, 7000rpm for most motors and outboards, 8000 RPM and 10000 RPM for race motors The tachs are generic The gauge max has nothing to do with the WOT RPM of your motor Which is 5500 RPM when you look it up

    Cam for 96 5.7

cam spec for a stock replacement is pretty meek. thats why I dont do stock anything over 0.420" lift, and you should run the beehive (LS) valve springs or cut the tops of the valve guides for the better seals so they do not interfere with the keepers there is also a ghetto-grind where you...

The Lake will never be the same again

My bud goes trolling for pan fish with his RC electric boat. a good sized blue gill will get the nose of the boat wiggling as it struggles to pull it to the dock. I told him one of these days a big bass or northern may hit the bait and the RC boat will go under like the barrels in Jaws...

    Cam for 96 5.7

7395 is a GM TBI truck cam, runs out of steam at about 4000. regardless if its on a 305 or 350 it provides the same dismal power output I personally would run a XM264HR if running a comp cam. max duration you can go with a wet exhaust is 270.
