    here is what I do... up to you install the recoil with the spring hooked in but sticking the slot manually wind the cord around the recoil then pull on it . The looseend of the spring will be sucked in the spring " chamber" block the recoil rewind the cord manually again then pull it...

    were you planning to pressure test the GC ??? may as well pop the drive shaft back in and pressure test prop shift and drive shaft seal. Your GC oil may have been ok... because it was replaced just before the sale ...

    Fuel hose connectors won't latch at Lower Cover.

    suggest you clean the junction with carb cleaner then add a couple drops of crazy glue to lock the post in place. glad you solved it. it is probably was my problem also when I needed to bend the tab a bit to fix it. Cheap stuff from China I guess.

    He seems to have gone pre-mix & I figured the pulse if from the crankcase directly so can't say if it would be an issue. Anyway just a suggestion to save 163U$ ...$200+ for us in Canada :-(

    long shot... you know what ? That "vapor pump" pretty much looks like a regular omc suare "fuel pump" ... but yours is used to suck vapors. on a fuel pump version the cover & nipple top layers are 2 parts while yours has a molded nipple as part of the top layer of the assembly not...
