    Need RPM’s on 383MPI 1970 SeaRay 24’ project

I agree with Scott, check plug color and get the motor tuned before worrying about props. if your dyno guy has a kenne bell boost-a-pump DC/DC converter, you can feed the fuel pumps with 16-17 volts and get a few more PSI out of them to see if that helps until you get a tune.

do you have a boat weight? not what the specs say it weighted in 1970, what the actual scale weight is? is your tach accurate? what ECM did you have on the dyno?

actual operation of the vessel is always the cheap part. even filling a 300 gallon tank at a fuel dock..... its the back-side costs of boating that are high..... maintenance, upkeep, insurance, support vehicles....

    Boat Loading Problem

I pull a 4400# boat onto a trailer with my 3000# winch. a 10,000# winch on a 2000# boat means you are doing something wrong. I do not power load (because it wrecks the ramps) I agree with the others that you are not deep enough. I myself simply back the trailer in so the fenders are 1" above...

Thinking about an upgrade for the tow vehicle

Ted..... its your money. however finding a 7 year old truck with the specs you are exactly looking for may be a needle in a stack of needles. that 4.3 diff was a special order. 99% of the diffs you find will be the 3.73 plenty of cab and chassis with the 4.3 diff as they were utilitarian...
