    Doubt there is any damage to the upper bearing on this 3 cylinder motor.-----And the 3 cylinder does not have sealing rings on the crankshaft.

    I meant that hydro-mechanical ( powershift II ) was changed / deleted during the 1975 model year.

    Measure the length of the driveshafts from bolting surface to the top.----Pictures of the lower units.----Does the 76 lower unit shift to forward with an UP motion of the shift rod ?
