    The exhaust would read higher and that can be ok. To find out if your motor IS actually overheating is to measure the thermostat housing and compare the IR reading with the boat gauge. If they read close to the saame then there is a overheat, if not then might be a gauge issue

    Could do some checks Measure voltage at the battery with motor running, should is around 14+V Use IR temp gun and see if exhaust manifolds or thermostat is getting to hot See if you can get exactly 5V on one of the pins on the MAP or TPS

    Gauge is staying 145-150 right? Where did you get readings of 175-205?

    Scanning is best way, the ECM will do this if a code is set.
