    Agreed.----Look at pistons / rings via the bypass covers.----And don't worry about head bolts.-----And the heads are warped.----They all are after 50 years of service.----Refinish the heads before installing them with new gaskets.

    Get a couple of those round inspection ports.-----Remove seats on either side.-------Cut a holes in the floor.----Inspect foam core right down to the hull.------Install inspection ports.----Install the seats.

    I am not there to see or hear your motor.----Do the following.----Charge the battery.-----Load test the battery.----Take starter apart for inspection and ohm test.-----If the motor cranks slow there will be no spark !

    You hook up a positive 12 volt cable to the solenoid.----You hook up the negative to the block.----Use the remote starter switch from 12 volt battery to one of the little terminals.----Push the start button and motor should crank .-----But 12 volts and wires can be a challenge to understand.

    Those are just an excellent / simple / reliable motor.----Bullet proof electric shift lower unit.-----The 1966 battery / coil / points distributor can be retrofitted.-----I would remove the bypass cover to look at pistons / rings.----Possible a blown head gasket.----Your location ?

    Rope is easiest and does no damage to nut or crankshaft threads.

    I suggest you remove the 3 bypass covers to look at pistons / rings.----Pull it over with a rope.----Perhaps ask a " wrastling , high school champion " to give you a hand pulling the rope.

    Last effort to help.----You say when you operate the manual pump nothing changes.----That suggests to me that the fuel pump on the motor is working just fine.----Perhaps test run with another hose and tank.----Fuel pumps are easy tio inspect and repair.-----I would never buy a new one !!
