    Very bad to turn the motor over using the crank bolt. It can snap Sounds like your lifters are collapsing, and if that's what's happening they need to be rebuilt or replaced. Probably replaced

    I thought of that early on Kenny but since it was a GL figured it had to be electronic, and he found 8V at the 10 pin. Also looked up the serial number 4110185712 and it shows electronic What is weird is he shows a EST dizzy cap and that won't fit

    Only way to know is repaint. Then with boat back at the dock plugged in for at least 24 hours and measure the output voltage with the correct probe. Right now it does look like a bad paint job. Next season watch the drive to see if it starts again
