    yes, if the oil level dropped too much, you would burn out the cone clutch.

    Shifting of DP-a drives is a cable to the shift bell crank to the shift fork to the cone clutches Doubtful. I would be looking for broken zip ties in the bundle under the gunwale. Most likely a harmonic frequency when the engines drop below 600 RPM being transmitted thru the hull

    check drive fluid level. check for burnt fluid. you could have burnished cone clutches

    4-7psi at the carb also check the opaque yellow line from the fuel pump vent to the spark arrestor to make sure there is no fuel in that line. if there is, your fuel pump has failed.

    if you dont drain all the water first. switching to anti-freeze does nothing but run out the exhaust as the thermostat wont open when on a hose

    step 1. load test your batteries step 2. clean all your connections you only have 1 engine and two batteries, correct? yes or no Is there an ACR? yes or no if yes to both, you are charging thru the perko switch from the alternator. your shore power (AC) should be connected to both batteries.

    If you plumb as a full system, your 292 is putting out about 200hp. You will run hot when water temp is over 75
