    The 5V line is critical. Any one sensor which draws to much current can cause an issue with the others It might be a simple as a loose or unconnected ground wire on the harness. One small ground wire not making a good connection can cause other sensor issues

    Welcome aboard Terminology issue, we call that the lifting strakes. With water in that area, most likely the entire hull may need to be gutted. It won't dry out completely no mater how long its left open. The foam is most likely soaked and needs to be removed. Mold will start to grow and it...

    Thanks for the SN, the starter (Gen V 92 to 94) should have the extra terminal. So it could be wired up as in the first pic Would need to understand how yours is wired and what might be the best way to change.

    The 3200 rpm could be the In-Gear switch but your not getting an alarm. The switch is on the shift plate and you can disconnect it to see if the issue goes away Would be best to scan for codes, but without need fuel pressure reading

    Have a motor serial number? Does the alarm work on the boat? Meaning do you get any beeps when the key is turned ON? If you do, check your fuel pressure at the rail

    Not an OB guy, but Merc uses the same wiring colors. Battery - Red After main engine breaker - Red/Purple Red/purple to ignition fuse (normally 20A) to key switch Key switch to Run circuit - Purple

    The scanner shows readings from the sensors. The codes are also read by the scanner if there are any on another screen. If there are none, then I would think about having the ECM tested.
