    Blowing 50 amp breaker

The breaker did reset, otherwise no power would have been available. Could be the breaker didn't need to reset because the loose connection was the issue

1998 VP 5.0Gi looses power, maybe in protection mode

Its either a loose connection or the ECM There is 2 wires (one from each injector) that the ECM grounds to turn the injector ON. The pic may not be yours but the wiring to injectors is the same

Overhauling my 1988 Alpha One Drive Train

Being a 1988 it should be points. I'm seeing the white/green could go to the Neg side of the coil and also goes to the shift interrupter Pic is from Manual 7 and my guess is the 17 (gray wire) in fact would be 24 (white/green)

Engine cut out while slowing down....

Yes at TDC, I'm thinking there is either the valves are still to tight or there not seating. Could loosen the rocker to see if the spring comes up further Yes, run test at WOT to allow maximum air to be drawn in. Your numbers are so low, not doing WOT would not be the issue currently Could...

Engine cut out while slowing down....

I would use the 93, the 130 would be over torque so it has to be a misprint Your serial number comes up 1982 to 1984 3.0

Engine cut out while slowing down....

In manual 3 shows it to be torqued in 3 passes to 130 ft lb Passes 55, 90 to 130 Unable to find it in manual 10 Manual 13 list 90 ft lb In any case, if the head was flat within .003 and the correct gasket was used, it would be higher then what your seeing. Measure the height of the valve...

    Fuel gauge issues

Your previous sender may be a powered type, similar to Centroid products. Need to understand what is there or could change over to the 2 wire type but this would take another gauge (if what you have is a powered sender)
