    Launch the boat and see how the pump and tell tale behave.---And the tell tale just indicates that pump is working.-----The tell tale water does NOT go through the block.-----A strong tell tale does not indicate that motor is cooling properly !!

    Pumps are not self priming.-----Water must be 8" above the IMPELLER.-----When running in a test tank you may get exhaust into the pump.-----These pumps do not pump air.

    The water in your test tank MUST be 6 or 8" above the impeller.-----Just covering intakes is not good enough !

    A hidden bolt / s through the transom might work.------If the culprits loosen the motor clamps they expect to walk away with the prize.-----They may not want to turn on a flashlight .----They might move on.

    Post your compression numbers tested today. -----Might be running on 3 of 4 cylinders.----Test spark.-----Check fuel pump diaphragm too.

    That o-ring is very common.-----Still installed in 2007 motors as well.----Local boat shop would have that o-ring in stock at about $4 or $5

    Block of wood and a hammer might do it.----Or run to your local boat shop , they will likely have it off in a heartbeat.

    Agreed.----he said that he had to disconnect.---He also clearly stated that after reconnect nothing worked.----So some simple testing needs to be done !!

    Find the plug for the trim tilt.----Green and a blue wire.------Apply 12 volt directly to to those terminals.----+ to one wire and - to other.-----See if motor works.
