    If the lifters don't pump back up after a short period then the lifters may need to be replaced or rebuilt. The reason I asked to check the oil level was to see if it had gone up. It it went up then something leaked into the block.

    It would be best to find a 1996 or newer vortec because of where bolt holes are. For the most part only the head changed, but keeping vortec, you don't have to worry about other things

    I'm unsure of the layout of where the water tank is and its relationship to the pump. I would run the pump until empty. If pump is above the tank then water left should drain back to tank. That amount of water should not freeze anything unless the hose has a loop which is lower

    It is an isolator (called that) but not the ones I'm use to seeing. For me its something used to tell you if its safe to use. Isolator's I'm use to seeing are connected inline with shore power ground. The LED should go off when 120VAC is removed To clarify, what is the current problem...

    GM made the 305 for many years, your saying its a carb and the narrows it some but still leaves many years Depending on the serial number its probably the choke that needs to be adjusted

    Yes, I believe so. Looking at the manual it shows a switch open, and would assume this is normal state, but comment above list to use a jumper for Bravo. Looking further at MEFI-3 it uses a normally open as well

    The distributor is a GM AC Delco EST With saying that all modules have different advance curves. If you can find the GM number on the module use it. If no number, search the VP number and can find the Sierra brand. Not a fan of Sierra but may have to go that route
