    ???-----The anode was removed or left out.------Just remove the carrier bearing housing.-----Simple in my opinion unless it is a salt water motor.

    Good luck with your projects.----Lapping of the crankshaft / flywheel is a standard procedure.----Has been part of outboard repairs for some 50 years , perhaps more !

    You just need to know how and where to look to find parts for these motors.-----Big dealers are interested in the " willing to spend "----$10,000 or more folks.-----Often not interested in the DIY crowd where they spend 30 minutes answering questions on a $5.00 sale.

    There is not much load on the bearing carrier.----Those tabs hold it in position.-----No difference in pulling it out compared to any other carrier.

    The propshaft bearing carrier simply pulls out with a slide hammer ( 1/4 threaded rod ) and will not damage bearings in any way !----Or 2 pieces of threaded rod and a strong back will do it.

    The fitting of the key and the flywheel tapers is much misunderstood.-----Did a 50 HP motor a while back.----After talking to owner and some quick checks I suspected a sheared flywheel key.------Yes it was and and the tapers had been greased.----No wonder it sheared !

    Motor will run just fine on 50:1 mix.----Plugs , on a motor in good condition do not foul with a 50:1 mix ratio.------But oil / lubrication on 2 strokes is not well understood in my opinion.----Model # of your motor ?
