    What do you mean the carburetor can not be taken apart ?---5 screws and the bowl is off to work on float / float valve.----Carburetor can then be cleaned.

    Let that jar sit for 2 more days and post a picture then.----New boat / new motor ?-----Have the dealer clean out the entire fuel system.-----Did they do the pre delivery check ?

    You should never have to resort to heating these expensive parts !!----Get a hefty puller.-----Cheaper than damaging parts under the flywheel !

    Rod caps will only fit on one rod.-----Easy to figure out which cap fits that one rod.-----What is your location in Canada ?-----

    Now you know why it was for sale.------This damage is very typical on the V-4 crossflow engines.----All of them will suffer this fate !-----Amazing how well they run on 3 cylinders until the second piston goes poooff.----What do crankshaft and rods look like ?

    Put driveshaft in a hefty vice.----Use 2X4 to protect gear housing. and give it a bump with a hefty hammer.---As stated I can not see what you are doing !

    That puller may be too flimsy / bendy.----You are tightening the 3 bolts and then giving the center bolt a bump with a hefty ball peen hammer ?

    The crankshaft has sealing rings on it.-----Look like a big piston ring.----Separates the 6 crankcases.-----Johnson / Evinrude used those from 1958 to last year when production stopped.

    Remove one of the drain plugs on the middle carburetor.----Operate manual fuel pump.----Gas should pour out.----Running with a blocked carburetor will starve 2 cylinders of gas and OIL.----So do the compression test again.
