    Motor suggestions

Have a 18 foot Chrysler Conquer 105 and the motor block is cracked. For now I'm looking around at other 2-stroke motor options. The plate says 105HP max, but finding some 115 and 125 motors. The original 105 Chrysler only had 90HP at the prop, so finding a newer 105 would be a jump in power...

    Railing Ideas

I see it working so long as you have a way of getting the cables real tight. So each cable end needs to have something attached to it so it can be tightened. Direct end with threaded rod Eye bolt and cable clamps Turn buckle

    Mercruiser steering actuator replacement Crownline

You must hold the tube to remove the nut, see pic d. Note when the cable goes back in, the slots must face vertical. Just slide the cable in a tighten the nut. Don't know which one your needing (have not mentioned what drive) but it probably is 8M0063382 and they are less then $550

    Finally success at hand

Hope it works out. Your boat had smartcraft gauges originally didn't it? This is how smartcraft is connected

Sounds like you have smartcraft, so look for the connector on the motor and see if the cable is connected going up to the gauges

    Block-off Plate/Gasket

No first hand knowledge but my opinion is I don't see the new style working. Reason being is there are slotted holes where the gasket needs to seal, and the gasket surface does not go out far enough to the edge

    Blower vent tubing question

Vent hoses are placed down low and a bit higher. The blower pushes air into the compartment and the lower hose allows air and any fumes to be expelled out the lower hose (gas fumes are heaver then air) and upper. This is normal

Exhaust elbow mercruiser 470 flapper and retainer

Just guessing here. The issue with many of the old parts is the parts list get copied and pasted even at Merc. The exhaust tube number is 72082A2, but if you look at the images that show up, there are two variations but no difference n part numbers. In review I found different keeps which are...

Hoses for Full Closed Cooling System

What I think you have is a rear mounted HE which was removed from another motor and installed on yours. Looking at the pics below there is a Tee fitting for the rear mounted HE which is used to feed water to the elbows on port/starboard. The front mounted HE is not routed in this method...

    Truck rims vs caliper clearance

The piston moves in as the pads wear, this causes the caliper to slide toward the truck frame.

Exhaust elbow mercruiser 470 flapper and retainer

It might just be an illusion but from my view its in up side down. The flapper should close when water comes up from the bottom, and open for exhaust gas.
