    Pull cylinder head and replace gasket.-----Reduce plug gap to 0.025" and see if it starts easier.

    Does spark jump a gap of 5/16" on a test device ?-----Sparkplugs are not used when doing this peak voltage / magneto output test !

    You have lots of time.----Use a substance called -----" Mechanics blue " ----or ---" Permatex 80038 Prussian blue "----To establish proper tooth contact.-----Remember you have to pull up forcefully on the driveshaft when using this stuff.

    The water in your DRUM must be 6 or 8" above the impeller !

    The magneto plate rotates.-----That part shown can then not move up until throttle is reduced again.----Prevent shifting out of gear at full throttle.------Also prevents too much throttle applied with motor in neutral.-----Not hard to find those pieces in my opinion.

    The compression numbers are most important.----These motors are famous for broken piston rings.----Running with oil injection ?----Tested oil injection ?----Or running with 50:1 mix ?
