Milky fuel in carb intake force 85hp

I was reading the Break-in instructions from maxrules.com, and this "You must determine the reason the original powerhead failed. If the problem is not identified and corrected it is almost certain the newly rebuilt powerhead will fail. If a restricted (lean) carburetion problem caused the...

    Re- torque head bolts?

I just rebuilt my motor, and torqued it to spec very low to my feeling and according the sequence, it leaked at the first start, not sure if the torque wrench is accurate or not, it is just a Autozone wrench. I decided to go a little bit higher 22 ft lb, and it did stopped leaking, after the...

    Went electric

Your role changes with the robot, I own a large Neapolitan Mastiff, you can imagine what kind of dog poo he makes. Maybe not the best practice but when I used regular mower I cleaned up the yard 1 or 2 times per week, so when I mowed I didn't step on poo and get messy, now with the robot as the...

    Went electric

I've gone cordless electric with my weed trimmer, is a cheap Black and Decker 21V, it uses the same battery for my hand drills and other tools. It doesn't have the power of gas neither of a corded trimmer but it is so practical just to grab it and start it immediatelly that I don't miss the gas...

Milky fuel in carb intake force 85hp

I aligned the connecting rods until no separation line was visible, just had small issues with one of them but I disassembled and noticed some dirt in between, cleaned out and then reassembled and the separation line disappeared, I think that worked out good. Now for the gas/oil mix 25:1...

Milky fuel in carb intake force 85hp

Any recommendations for taking it to the lake for the first time, should I run it with a higher gas/oil mixture? I've seen people suggesting 1:40 ratio or something like that.

Milky fuel in carb intake force 85hp

So i just finished building up the motor today, and it fired up immediately, no hick ups or anything, but I noticed some drops of water leaking through the head gasket, I warmed it up and retightened a little higher than specs suggested, the leak stopped. Compression is now 105-110-105. Seems...

I'm in northern Mexico no snow or rain in months, our lakes are drying, gobal warming is hitting hard here. We still could go out fishing anyday until the lakes completely dries, praying for god Tlaloc for some rain in the area.

    Starter fluid everytime....

Yes I would say this choke was 90%+ closed and that little amount off was enough for not starting by its own, fortunatelly it was a quick fix hoping to take it to the lake to test in real situation. I've used so many times the starter fluid with no issues on the outboards for that how ever I...
