    Put on your best tyvek get your sander and have at it. Of course put down a tarp or plastic so you can dispose of the sanding properly. Media blasting and soda blasting also will work as stated above, stripers also. It just depends on what your trying to pu back on

    Depends, could be the cable is attached but the clip that holds it in place in the drive is loose

    Make sure you check the shift cable on both ends and also check any clamps or brackets that are holding them in place

    I've had more problems with power steering pumps than anything else. Both those pumps can make make noises so like Lou said check them both and just because it's new doesn't mean it's good
