    remove a mercury 65 hp from boat

    hello will i be able to remove an old merc 65 hp (1969') from the transom by jacking up on the motors keel and just pulling it away when it clears the top of transom. the transom is rotted and i don't want to move the boat over the road with the weight of the motor there. thanks any other ideas...

    i have new spark plug wires is there anything i can mess up when i lift the armature plate to install ? not sure about what looks like advance linkage and how do i get that spring and wire linked under the spark plug boot correctly ? don't want to cut the original to look. thanks. slow but sure...
