    How often or when is one supposed to do the alignment check? What are the symptoms of mis-alignment? The bushings I see around the bolts are standing up, not collapsed. Sorry I dont see whay bushings you refer to.

    In the spring, does one need to "prime" the empty raw water/sea pump or one can just launch boat in the lake with empty dry pump and it will pull the water out of the lake? If "priming" pump is necessary what is easiest or best way?

    I was misinformed when i wrote this. I was presuming std Mercruiser hose arrangement. My hoses were backwards because I did not realize nor specify I have cool fuel system.

    Unless one has the cool fuel option like me, then it is the opposite. Raw water on bottom and to the motor on top.

    Hoses to seawater pump were backwards. Operator error. This engine has cool fuel system, which for some reason requires sea water pump to be plumbed opposite of every other Mercruiser. :(

    Turns out because engine has cool fuel system, raw water pump is plumbed opposite of every other 7.4L without cool fuel. My fault, hoses were backwards.

    Help plz, 2002 3.0 mercruiser winterizing question

    Achris is right. As I have just learned this week it doesnt really matter where the anti freeze goes, if all the water is out first, because air doesnt freeze . The anti-freeze is unneccesary if there is no water left.
