    Questions regarding tow vehicle

The role of shocks, to control bouncing when hitting bumps. To test: Unloaded vehicle, push with foot up and down on back bumper. It should come up and stop bouncing. If it goes up and down a few times then shocks are worn. The role of springs, to hold the weight and prevent to much sag or...

    Backfiring

The no compression second time around could be the gauge. The results are on the low side but should be fine. Since you had the problem with the original carb, good thing to test the rings and valves just to make sure all is good and delete those as a problem. If your battery was getting low and...

    Questions regarding tow vehicle

It was an old 25' camper trailer but I "think" it was under 6,000 lbs. All I know is it made a world of difference.

    Questions regarding tow vehicle

How about thinking of getting a weight distribution hitch with a sway bar attachment? My dad used his F250 to tow a 25' camper trailer that mom always over packed. With a regular hitch hook-up the truck was a beast to drive, bouncing and swaying everywhere. Once he upgraded the hitch to the...

1994 lund 1775 live well pump location

I found this with a Google search, not sure if it will help... "They're under a panel that has 4 screws to remove it... that'll give you access to both pumps and valves... I believe waterwolf is correct.. they're just before the step for the front casting deck."

gas pouring out of top of carburetor

Look at the brass circle, that's the seat and the after photo looks a bit cleaner inside. I usually just blast every where in carbs with Gumout carb cleaner. If real bad I'll soak them overnight, then blast all the holes and ports with carb cleaner followed by compressed air.

Yamaha digital guage not indicating trim

I could be wrong but I would think the sending unit is similar to a fuel gauge sending unit - a Linear potentiometer. You can check the resistance with an ohm meter.

Does ACR exist to charge start battery bank only if the volts drop below 12.45?

Okay, you started talking about ACR and then without telling anyone you jumped ship. DAMN!!! Go get a battery maintainer, I use one for my motorcycle battery during the winter...

Does ACR exist to charge start battery bank only if the volts drop below 12.45?

I think you should do some research regarding lead acid batteries and automotive charging systems.

    Screw and Pilot Hole Sizes

What ever material I am running screws into I always match the drill bit to thr center core of the screw. As mentioned earlier, holding the drill bit along side of the screw, see threads on both sides of the bit but not the solid center. It's always worked for me.

To build a live well or not?

Yeah, I was thinking the cooler could play double duty, fish and drinks in one. I figured if the fish died in an ice cold brine it should still be edible after a couple of hours. Using just a smallish size cooler would be both cheaper and a lot easier than running plumbing from the stern to...

    Wheel bearings full of water

Well I can't talk about trailers that constantly see water, but I can talk about wheel bearing in general from my auto tech days. First things first, clean all old grease and crap from the spindle, bearings, seals, seats and caps. Inspect seal and spindle shoulder for any imperfections. I...

To build a live well or not?

I think I know the answer but am looking for others input. My past experience in fishing I have always just put the fish on a stringer until done fishing for the day (canoe or shore fishing). Now that I'm rebuilding my Glasstron bow rider and setting it up for fishing I don't think I...
