    Running Hot over 185-Degree F at heads Changed water pump. Next?

    Changed water pump good flow from Motor (Tell Tale). Running hot over 185 degree F. Temp keep going up so I shut off motor! Motor temp. was checked with a (pyrometer / infarred thermometer), Yes the tester is accurate. What's next?? 1987 Johnson 140 HP.

    Opinion Needed 21' Center Console

    I am not sure? I have a 70hp Evinrude and a 140hp v-4 Johnson. My boat is a 21' aluminum starcraft center console not very heavy. I think the 140 is to big a motor and the 70 my be slightly under powered but a better choice. Which motor would better suit this boat.
