    No Spark

    1989 johnson 120 hp, just replaced rectifier, worked fine 1st time i replaced it except i forgot the gasket, took it back apart inserted gasket and now motor cranks but no spark, must have shorted something, all fuses under dash seem fine, just not sure what eles it could be, any ideas???

    wondering if i have a bad stator, checked rectifier, had 22 volts at idle and 50 volts at fast idle, had 11.4 volts at battery at slow and fast idle and 11.4 volts at stater selnoid, tach is working,,,could the stator be corroded and not making good contact or are the windings going? trying to...
